Increase Public Transit Funding in Final Bill

Finally, both chambers of Congress have passed long-term transportation legislation, and they expect to pass a final bill by November 20.

We are closer than we have been in years to getting a long-term transportation bill passed into law. But we need to make sure that the final bill substantially increases funding for public transit.

Yes, we need a long-term bill—but not a bill that leaves public transportation underfunded. Our growing nation needs to increase and expand public transportation in every region. Just maintaining what we have isn’t enough—we need to fund public transit at the highest levels possible.

Even if you’ve written Congress recently, please email your legislators one more time.

Let them know you’re watching and that public transportation must be a priority.

Thank you,
